Local police authorities strictly enforce Florida driving rules such as attention to stop signs. If you are renting a car for your vacation in Florida, you should know some important Florida driving rules which you can find in the Florida guide. Many drivers out there interpret stop signs as an indicator to slow down and make sure no cars are coming before they continue driving forward at their regular speed. This idea is quite different than the Florida driving rules we were taught back in driving school. Drivers need to come to a complete stop at a stop sign, make sure no other cars are coming and then proceed on your way.

Florida Police apply the original Florida driving rules straight from the book and do not tolerate variations of it. Violations will be penalized with a substantial fine and points on your driver’s license. Vacationers in Florida most likely do not have business meetings or other appointments they need to rush to. Instead, take your time to drive safely and enjoy the wonderful art deco architecture and other Florida spots and family destinations during your full and complete stops.
