The UK is a top tourist destination for US travelers and is often the first stop they make on a European tour. As a common landing area for US travelers, London has so much to offer including great shopping, especially if you get there during the sales periods. The sales at Harrods, the famous department store, are insane. London has plenty of great museums and a very rich entertainment industry with quality shows. There are several sightseeing attractions including Big Ben and Westminster.

Lodging in England can be very expensive in spite of the recent decline of the British Pound. Affordable hotels in London do exist and can be found but affordability is directly associated to quality. Visitors on a tight budget should consider a short term rental accommodation in London as there are many and they can be booked at great prices.

Europe’s top tourist destinations in order are Paris, France; Rome, Italy; and London, UK.

Each of those top destinations deserves a fully dedicated trip for exploration; a few days will not suffice. Only spending a few days in Paris will serve merely as a tease.

London is approximately a 1 hour flight from Paris and Paris is a 2-hour flight from Rome.

A smart travel tip would be to visit the 3 cities in one trip. Hotels in Paris, Rome and London can be outrageously expensive so it is important that you plan for the right season to get the best deals. Another option is to rent short term rental apartments in Paris, vacation apartments in Rome or a fully furnished apartment in London.

Times are tough and Floridians share a dreary outlook of the future. However, South Florida, particularly Miami’s, economy are holding up relatively well.

The Chief Executive of Britain’s Economic Development Agency expressed confidence and trust in our economy. If the state of Florida was a country it would be ranked 19th in the world.

Mr. Cahn’s point of view is believed to be neutral and objective since he is paid to promote the UK’s economy and not Florida’s.

The British LOVE Florida, specifically MIAMI, ORLANDO and NAPLES. They invest quite a bit in Florida, from direct business investments to vacation homes.

They love spending holidays in the sunshine state. They express their love through purchasing Miami Beach vacations homes, Naples holiday flats or Orlando holiday rentals.

Individuals and companies of the UK own about 4 billion worth of assets in Florida. This vote of confidence is significant. It is estimated that 2 million British travelers spend their holidays in Florida every year. They mostly split their time between Orlando and Miami.

In spite of the economy’s current gloomy state and the recent slide of the pound and the Euro, Cahn is confident that Florida has much to offer. Even if today is challenging, the potential for tomorrow remains bright.
