The lodging industry is well structured in Andalusia with hotels and Spain holiday villas where millions of international tourists stay every year. Andalusia hotels are rated according to the traditional star ranking known all over Europe and other worldwide top travel destinations. Beware that a 5 star hotel is different in Seville or Paris as it is in Miami or Phuket. Andalusia hotels are decent though a bit disappointing. Andalusia hotels are rather old and have not been updated for some years. When travelers select a 4 or even 5-star hotel, they expect more than what is actually delivered.

Room equipment is generally weak and amenities are minimal. The level of service is not to par with the popularity of Andalusia as a preferred holiday destination. Staffs in Andalusia hotels are not necessarily nice or helpful. They don’t go out of their way to make guests happy. We found that their training was probably minimal; they don’t know much about their city and have a lot to learn about customer service. Waiting one hour to get an ironing board or having to carry your luggage to your car in a 5-star hotel is not uncommon. Staying at a 5-star hotel should be a great, relaxing and pleasant experience; for us, it was just average. Staying in Spain holiday villas in Seville or Spain holiday villas in Marbella may prove to be a good idea.
