Description:
St Mary's View: This is a highly popular apartment : a superbly located loft-convertion apartment, offering great views of St Mary's Church of the main square. Just a step from the walls of the old town, 400m to the main square, and only 5 minutes walk to Kazimierz, the old Jewish district, the location is ideal for those wanting convenience. The proximity to the centre can even be heard when, from an open window, the famous Krakow Trumpeter can be heard signalling the hour from the top of St Mary's church! The apartment itself is located in a tremendous building with a 15m high pillared entrance, and portier. It faces away from the road, is peaceful, light and comfortable. Recently redecorated and refurbished, the apartment contains two bedrooms (one double, one single) and a bright fresh living room (with comfortable double sofa-bed) as well as a brand new kitchen and bathroom. The apartment is fully equipped for cooking, eating, sleeping or simply taking it easy. You may even relax by taking your pick from an interesting library or music collection. Internet connection and a baby sitting service may also be arranged. The apartment is owned by Simon and Ania, an English/Polish couple and is rented out as a family business only in high season. We live here ourselves through most of the year and so can guarantee a truly homely atmosphere of the highest quality. Do not be fooled by the low pricing; we are not doing this as a huge enterprise, but to simply enable some others to enjoy Krakow at it's best. But please do not just take our word. We would like you to have peace of mind when booking, so please read on and feel free to request contact with previous guests before making a booking: RECENT GUESTS FROM AUSTRALIA: We are Australians who have been travelling regularly for the last 12 years and as such, have stayed in countless hotel rooms and self-serviced apartments. This is the context in which we say that we recommend Simon and Ania’s apartment in Krakow without reservation. It’s spacious, light, and possesses that comfortable ambience that comes only with apartments that are lived in by the owners. It has all the amenities that come with a well-loved home, it’s only a short walk from the wonderful central square and there’s a secure car park next door. We loved staying there. We’ve recommended it without hesitation to a number of friends who, like us, love travel, and we have every intention of visiting again. Roger and Judy, Australia RECENT GUESTS FROM DENMARK/USA: An immediate feel of being in VERY comfortable and light surroundings when you walk into Simon’s apartment...in other words, you'll enjoy hanging out in it when not out seeing Krakow. A beautifully splendid bathroom, a completely new and modern kitchen with comfortable places to sit and all the facilities (new stove, new fridge), 2 bedrooms (linen provided) and a big living room with space to move around. We’ve rented 4 years running and each time the place has been exceptionally clean, we’ve always been able to get in touch with Simon, who is immediately helpful - even with trivialities which don’t necessarily have anything to do with the apartment. And the location...WOW WOW WOW.....it’s near everything - and -especially - only a 3-4 min. walk to the Main Square (during which you go through a pretty park and 2 charming streets). I can’t recommend the apartment enough.....I’m afraid if I do more everyone will want to rent and I’ll be limiting our availability......because WE’RE RETURNING!! L. Nissen, Denmark/USA RECENT GUESTS FROM UK: The apartment was the best we've ever stayed in. It really felt like a home and not just a place to stay. The photos do not convey just how spacious the apartment and the rooms are. Angie and me occupied the kitchen and main bedroom, while the children took over the lounge and second bedroom -it felt like two separate self-contained spaces. And it could not be better situated between old town centre and Kazim
